50:50 || Are we there yet?
1st Open Call - ScArt
All we’ve got is time…or do we? Where do you stand in time? Do you feel you have all the time in the world or is it time running out? How has your relationship with time changed in the last couple of years? Did you stand the test of time? Are we as a society limited by time? Does it favour certain types of people over the other? Are we doing enough with it? Does time really exist?
The ScArt project is delighted to announce the Open Call for the Residency programme 50:50 are we there yet? The Residency is an online 5-day event (3 hours per day) for young people aged 18 - 25 to explore the topic of TIME.
Based on the Science Gallery Dublin’s successful Rapid Residency model launched in 2020 in response to the pandemic, 50:50 are we there yet? aims to nurture Art Science Collaboration harnessing the full potential of non-formal science education, culture and the arts. We aim to support young people to collaborate with artists, scientists, researchers, creative practitioners and innovative thinkers to develop and trigger their creative ideas.
We will explore the topic of TIME and how young people are thinking about this dimension in our crazy ever changing world.
You will delve into workshops, challenges, co-creation fostering competences, such as creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving and resilience, as well as digital competence, centering the youth experience and empowering you to creatively respond to the thorny issues in our society.
The Residency programme will be held in English and fully online through ZOOM or other similar platforms and there will also be a session held in the Metaverse as part of an experimental co-creation phase where time, space and connections can be experienced in the most creative ways!
