50:50 || Are we there yet?
1st Open Call - ScArt
All we’ve got is time…or do we? Do you feel you have all the time in the world or is time running out? How has your relationship with time changed in the last couple of years? Are we as a society limited by time? Have we built a system of time that favours certain types of people over others? Are we doing enough with it? Where do you stand in time? Does it even exist?
The ScArt project is delighted to announce the Open Call for the Residency programme
50:50 are we there yet? is an online Residency programme hosted over 5 days for young people aged 18 - 25 to explore the topic of TIME. Based on the Science Gallery Dublin’s successful Rapid Residency model launched in 2020 in response to the pandemic, 50:50 are we there yet? aims to nurture ArtScience collaboration harnessing the full potential of non-formal science education, culture and the arts. We aim to support young people to collaborate with artists, scientists, researchers, creative practitioners and innovative thinkers to inspire and develop their ideas.
What will we be doing during the week?
We will explore the topic of TIME from different perspectives inviting young people to create conversations around time and how it impacts young people today.
You will delve into workshops and challenges developing your ideas as individuals and as part of a team, building lifelong skills such as creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving, digital competencies and resilience. 50:50 are we there yet? centres the youth experience, activating the youth voice empowering you to creatively respond to the thorny issues in our society.
The Residency programme will be delivered in English and fully online using the video call platform ZOOM (or other). We will utilise new technologies hosting some sessions in the ‘Metaverse’ as part of an experimental co-creation phase where time, space and connections can be experienced in the most creative ways!
Please note: in the FAQ section you will find any answer to your questions!
